Does your preschooler collect sticks and rocks? Or consider empty containers, bottle caps, buttons, and the like, as treasures? Actually, I know that’s a redundant question because I haven’t met a kid yet that doesn’t have a collection of found treasures. Since I am raising one of these burgeoning pack-rats, I’ve had to find a way to use all these treasures, or at least find a way to store them so they aren’t underfoot. For this, I turn to craft time.

Top Five Easy Ways to Make Easter Greener

In an effort to be more earth-friendly (we try, we really do but we fail, yes we fail but we still try) I’m making some changes to our Easter baskets. No one in the family will probably notice, but I’ll feel a bit smug inside on Easter Sunday because I’ll be thinking I’ve made a difference. And I also might think I just saved the world a little bit because sometimes my imagination gets away from me like that. No actually, I like the feeling of being a hero so just to make myself a bit more heroic, I will share my tips with you in an effort to spread the word. And maybe some one will leave a green-living tip for me to try so they can share in that hero-feeling too.

Gigi hovers between tomboy and girly-girl each and every day. I never know if I should be preparing myself for a day of tea parties and dolly daycare or y'ar mateys and plank walking.
